Lent at Bethany
Sensing God’s Love Divine through The Life of the Beloved

Please join us as we deepen our Christmas theme of Love Divine through the Lenten season. At weekend worship services, we will reflect upon how Jesus lived as the beloved Son of God. On Wednesdays at 7:15PM, we will seek to strengthen how we live as beloved sons and daughters of God.

On Wednesdays in Lent, we will gain insights from Holy Scriptures and Henri Nouwen’s devotional book Life of the Beloved. We will learn how God loves us through being Chosen, Blessed, Broken and Given. These key verbs, taken from Holy Communion, will help us build momentum through Lent to experience the full power of God’s love during Holy Week.

Wednesday night Worship 7:15 – 8:00PM in the Worship Center. Children’s and youth activities will begin at 6:15PM and will end in time to worship together at 7:15.

Helping Haiti Update
The Million Dollar Challenge Has Been Met
What an amazing difference Thrivent Financial for Lutherans members make together!

More than $2 million has been donated by members to support the efforts of four Lutheran relief organizations. This means the full Thrivent Financial pledge of $1 million has been reached, and the combined $3 million is Helping Haiti now.

Yet, the needs are great and growing, so we encourage your continued donations to:

Noontime Prayer Invitation
One of the disciplines we were all encouraged to pick up at Lent was to pray at noontime each day.  As a staff we have decided to continue that discipline.  You are invited to join us each day at noon in the Chapel at Bethany!  If you are not able to join us in the Chapel, here is the format we have been using for noonday prayer – join us in spirit!
